Tag-line One ordinary couple. One little white lie.

Phil and Claire Foster (Steve Carell and Tina Fey) head off to the big city to celebrate their weekly date night and stop by the most stylish restaurant in town without a reservation.  Seizing the moment they take another couple's place - the Triplehorns -  but are soon asked to leave, where outside they are accused of holding a flashdrive of personal information and holding a mob-boss to ransom. When the heavies turn out to be dirty cops and no one believes their story, they do the only thing they can think - get advice from Mark Wahlberg.

So, how does it end?

Borrowing Mark Wahlberg's sports car, they crash into a taxi fusing both cars together - but continue their run from the police. Phil dives into the taxi and borrows the driver's Kindle to read the flashdrive contents - to see compromising pictures of the DA in a gentleman's club.  They crash into the river, where Phil loses the USB stick.

They go back to Mark Wahlberg's apartment to ask for his help one last time and then head off to the strip club in disguise.
Summoned to dance for his pleasure by the DA, they are soon held at gunpoint by the dirty cops and then taken up to the roof where they are joined by the mob boss Miletto (Ray Liotta). When the contents of the drive are brought up everyone raises their guns.  Tina Fey does a trick she uses on her kids to calm everyone down, and then the cops show - and we see that Phil was wearing a wire.

They finally get to have their date at a greasy spoon diner, where Phil declares his love for Claire and everything is cool again.
