Plot:

Lincoln Six-Echo (Ewan McGregor) is a member of germ-free community in the year 2019, waiting it out until the rest of the world is inhabitable again after 'the contamination' - or they win a ticket through a lottery system to a place referred to as "The Island", the only other safe-place outdoors where they can live a care-free life in luxury.
Soon, his friend Jordan Two-Delta (Scarlett Johansson) wins one of the tickets ... but something is not right as Lincoln spots an insect that has survived the supposedly harsh climate outside, and a worker he has befriended seems to have some answers in the form of beer-mats...

So, how does it end?

The two clones on the run make a trail of destruction across various cities, hotly chased by the bounty hunters. They end up at the sponsor's residence (the other Ewan McGregor), who double-crosses his clone but ends up mistaken and shot by the mercenary's leader.
With their new mission to get back and free their little friends, Ewan walks in through the front door and sets about sabotaging the building.  Meanwhile Scarlett is captured by the guy who was in Gladiator, who begins to see the error of his ways when he realises she has been branded - just as he was when he was a child under a fascist regime.
As she escapes, together they free some clones from being incinerated as the building collpases around them.  Ewan kills Sean Bean's megalomaniac morally-challenged bad guy with a harpoon to the neck, and as the holograms switch off all around, the happy clones in their nice white tracksuits make a run for it.
It ends with our two heroes sailing the open waves on the futuristic ship built by the real Ewan, whose Latin name sparked the whole breakout theory before.
